Joseph Schilleci, Attorney
Changing people’s opinions about attorneys, one client at a time.
A local boy, Joey graduated from Brother Martin High School and then went to LSU for both college and law school, where he was also a proud member of the Golden Band from Tigerland.
Returning to the New Orleans area in 1999, he worked for a large workers’ compensation defense firm which gave him a unique insight into the tactics and strategies used by insurance companies. In 2008 he started Workers’ Compensation Injury Law Center, LLC, and has been representing injured workers ever since.
Joey is a current and long-time member of Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group and Louisiana Workers’ Advocates, the two preeminent organizations nationally and in Louisiana, respectively, which represent and advance the rights of injured workers. He is also a former officer of Louisiana Workers’ Advocates. He has been a speaker at workers’ compensation seminars, and a guest lecturer for the Workers Compensation class at Loyola School of Law.
Away from the office, he is a Louisiana high school football official who will throw a flag on obvious defensive pass interference calls. He also volunteers as a coach in local youth sports activities and also officiates youth sports activities. He grew up in Kenner and lives in Metairie with his wife, twin seven-year-olds, and a four-legged son named Shaggy.
